Tomatoes Jam


  • 1 kg. tomatoes
  • 1/2 kg. Sugar
  • a splash of lemon


Cut the tomatoes in small pieces (with the peel). Then mix with the sugar and wait for 45 minutes or 1 hour. After, put the mixture and the lemon in a pot and cook until it has the right consistency (You can see that taking a little with a spoon and putting on a plate. If when it is cooled has the consistency of the jam is ready, if not, put it a little more time in the fire.).


If you are not going to eat the jam immediately have to put the jar with the jam in a pot with water and bring to boil. Then you let boiling in water bath for 20 minutes.

It is also important to sterilize the jars by boiling them in water for about twenty minutes before to put in the jam.

How to eat

Enjoy it as you like. Improvise, invent and the most important, share :).
As advice, accompany it with goat cheese, no one will resist.
